FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY
My goal is to provide a boutique experience that is both personal and professional to all families attending schools that choose Meagan Conrad Photography to photograph their students.
In order to provide the highest quality customer service, which includes beautiful, artistic images, I work with smaller, private schools and preschools, as well as daycares, homeschool groups, hybrid schools, and co-ops. This means I can spend more time with each student, which allows me to draw out their natural personalities.
I believe school photos can and should capture the essence of the child, and it can happen in a more organic way than big box companies tend to offer. Instead of forced smiles and rigid poses, I take pride in creating a space where students can relax and be themselves. This yields a timeless portrait that families can enjoy for generations!
FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
Besides the lovely part of spending time capturing images of your kids, the entire operation is completely online. This means that families are provided with online ordering galleries set up according to grade, classroom, homeroom, etc. Families will be sent an email link once photos are ready for selection and ordering.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAIT AND A STANDARD SCHOOL PORTRAIT?
Great question! Simply put, fine art photography is authentic and classic, no busy backgrounds, cookie-cutter poses, or artificial elements. I find that using a minimalist backdrop in a neutral color gives me the ability to highlight the child's personality and capture natural expressions without distraction.
Each family will be provided with 4-8 different images, presented in color and black-and-white. Families may choose their favorites for printing, and I do provide boutique product options such as canvas gallery wraps and digital images for future printing. How to order and what to expect on photoshoot day will be provided to each school via a detailed PDF that can be distributed to families prior to picture day.
Prints are ordered online and delivered directly to the school within 4 weeks of picture day.
I provide all the equipment and personnel needed for photo day.
I provide the school with high resolution digital files to use for yearbooks, website, school advertising, etc.
I field any questions from parents and families about ordering and products.
How many students can you accommodate?
Right now, I am working with schools who have anywhere between 30-500 students. I have worked with hundreds of kids from infancy to graduation over the past 7 years as a family and school photographer!
How expensive are these images?
I keep my rates competitive and there is no upfront charge. All profit is made from ordering. I offer a variety of collections and a-la-carte options so each family can get exactly what they want. There are no minimum orders, if you just want one print, you have that option.
Does this cost the school any money?
Nope! In fact, 10% of whatever profit I make from print orders I donate directly back to that school.
What time of year are these fine art school photo shoots?
I work with each school on an individual basis to schedule shoots during any time of the academic year.
Do you provide class photos?
Yes! If your school wants a class photo taken, we can make that happen!
What about staff portraits?
Also, yes! Let me know if that's something your school would like to arrange.
