Welcome, I'm Meagan, and I am so glad you stopped by! I truly believe that school photos can be FUN, capturing the true personality of the child, minus the awkwardness. When a kid walks away from having a school picture taken with me, I want each one to know that I saw and connected with them, that I took the time to really see each of them. That's why I love doing this, because these precious people have something unique to offer the world, and they need adults around them to inspire confidence. WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?? HOW DOES IT WORK?
Besides the lovely part of spending time capturing images of your students, the entire operation is completely online. This means that families are provided with online ordering galleries set up according to grade, classroom, homeroom, etc. Families will be sent an email link once photos are ready for selection and ordering.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAIT AND A STANDARD SCHOOL PORTRAIT?
Great question! Simply put, fine art photography is authentic and classic. Backgrounds are neutral (black or white) and I spend about 90 seconds with each student, asking about their favorite activities, the last exciting family vacation, and whether they like to be the one telling the joke or hearing one (and I always have one up my sleeve to get a good giggle). Because I engage on a personal level, I get real expressions and it makes all the difference! Kiddos walk away feeling seen, and I've even heard a few say they want to do school photos everyday.
HOW DO PARENTS GET THEIR SCHOOL PHOTOS?
Each family will be provided with several different images, anywhere from 4-8, in both color and black-and-white. Families may choose their favorites for printing, and I do provide options such as canvas gallery wraps and digital images for future printing.
Families can order prints and digitals directly from their gallery. Orders placed are shipped 1-3 business days.
On picture day, I bring everything necessary. High resolution digital files are provided to the school to use in the yearbook, on their website, or for marketing. Any questions that parents have are fielded by me. I also provide information on what to wear on picture day, as well as what to expect, to help keep everyone on the same page!
Right now, I am working with schools who have anywhere between 30-500 students. I have worked with hundreds of kids from infancy to graduation over the past 7 years as a family and school photographer!
HOW MUCH CAN PARENTS EXPECT TO PAY FOR PHOTOS?
I offer incredibly reasonable rates. All profit is made from ordering. I offer a-la-carte options so each family can get exactly what they want. There are no minimum orders, if you just want one print, you have that option.
WHAT TIME OF YEAR DO YOU OFFER FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPH?
That is completely up to the school, anytime during the academic year is appropriate, but most schools prefer Fall or early Spring, in order to get the files in time for yearbook printing.
DO YOU TAKE CLASS PHOTOS?
YES! Totally included in this deal!
